So, I’m a giver at heart! 
I love giving what and when I can. It literally makes me happy to help other people in whatever way or just simply sow a seed into their life; needed or not.
However, God has taught me wisdom in doing so. I used to give with a wrong motive… I would ‘sometimes or most times’ give based on the heavy spirit of rejection and fear I was carrying. So, as you can imagine, I was taken advantage of (A LOT!). My thought process was if I could “give” you enough then perhaps you’d begin to “like” me and/or wouldn’t leave me (broken thoughts). I thought I could give my way into people's hearts… maybe they wouldn’t say negative things about me 
.
.But NOW… NOWWW I don’t care! I’m so glad God has set me free & delivered me from that spirit of low self-esteem. You cannot give your way into someone’s actual heart. If they are for you, then they are for you, PERIOD! It will NEVER be about what you can give them. And although you SHOULD give to people, organizations, friends & etc. that you love, that should not solely determine my love for you. I’ve also been in situations where people told me (paraphrased) “if you love me, you will give me this-that-or the other.” (Manipulation) Some people enjoy taking advantage of another one’s weaknesses. And TRUST ME, People KNOW when you’re vulnerable and can be easily manipulated… because you literally exude low levels of self-love when you’re walking in it (Sorry to be the one to tell ya 
) But I did it because I didn’t know my own self-worth and I was unaware of who I was and WHO I belonged to!

I am well aware of what I’m doing! It STILL brings me joy in knowing that when I give, I’ve helped someone. So, ask GOD what you should give… be it money, services, time, access, space, attention all that! ASK GOD!... So you can stop feeling taken advantage of. I’m the person that will give you the earrings right out of my ears if you ask AND I feel led to do so! I know God honors those who give from a RIGHT spirit and RIGHT motives; wanting NOTHING in return except all that God has for you! PLEASE stop repeating the cycle of breaking your own heart trying to win someone over based on what you can give or do for them… it’ll NEVER work!
